The problem: studio optimism bias is structural
Every studio founder believes their game is the exception. Every pitch deck says "our retention is strong" with three Discord screenshots attached. There is no shared signal language between studios and investors, no behavioral baseline, and no way to verify a claim without asking the studio for more data — which they control.
The result: capital deploys against narrative, not evidence. Games that would have been TERMINATE in 7 days absorb $500K in production funding and fail 18 months later.
Evidence-first deal flow
Every game you see on the Investor Terminal has already passed the INVEST threshold — composite ≥ 4.0 on a 0–5.0 behavioral scale built from 25 verified player sessions. The score is not self-reported. It's generated from Steam achievement timestamps, playtime data, and structured task completion — behavioral signals that players produce by playing, not by answering a survey.
You are not the filter. The filter already ran before the game reached your screen.
What the dossier contains
D1/D7/D30 retention curves — benchmarked against genre baselines across 30 categories. You see whether retention is leading or lagging the market before your first conversation with the studio.
PMF score — percentage of players who would be "very disappointed" if the game disappeared, benchmarked against the genre threshold. A raw number and a verdict.
APPU — active play per user in the D7 window. The engagement depth signal that separates hype from habit.
AI broken core audit — Claude-powered analysis of which specific gameplay loop is underperforming and why. The audit is generated from behavioral data, not from the studio's own notes.
Composite Player Pulse Score — 0–5.0, five signals at equal weight. Reproducible. Defensible in an investment committee.
How tiers work
Preview (free) — anonymized feed showing verdict, composite, genre, and top-line signals. Studio identity is hidden. Use it to screen before committing.
Pro ($500/mo) — full dossier access on every INVEST-grade game, including retention curve, PMF %, APPU, and broken core audit. Early visibility on GOD_TIER games (> 4.7) before the broader feed. Direct studio introduction when you express interest.
The SPV layer (M4) will enable co-investment in INVEST-grade games through a SAFE-structured vehicle without a direct studio relationship — structured for funds that can't do one-off studio deals.
